In June of 2007, Matt and I traveled to Twin Falls, Idaho for a BASE jumping adventure.  After we finished up at the bridge, we made our way back to Utah and visited Skydive Ogden.

I'm recapping this now (2015) and I really don't remember all the details.  However, I do remember a few things.  The plane was an extremely slow climbing Caravan.  It felt like we were climbing for more than 30 minutes!  Another thing I remember, there was a jumper on the plane that had the most ridiculous looking ear lobes.  Apparently, he had been wearing these huge metal gauges.  He took them out to skydive and his earlobes had huge holes and dangled below his helmet.  I remembered thinking that this guy had some plastic surgery in his future!  Other things I remember - the hangar had a misting tube.  It was extremely hot and it felt good to stand in the mist!  The locals seemed nice, but the landing patterns seemed non-existent.

Here's what my log book said:  Jump 161 - June 24, 20017 - Ogden, UT - Sucky Caravan - Spectre 210 - Still can't get my knees down low enough.  I may need professional help :( Nice Stand Up Landing a midst a bunch of directionally challenged canopy pilots.

I used Matt's travel journal for reference and he also mentioned the scary pattern.  We both agreed to call it a day.  This turned out to be the only skydive or our trip.  We went up to the packing loft to pack our BASE rigs and as luck would have it, Matt met some local BASE jumpers.  As a result of this chance encounter, Matt got to jump off his FIRST cliff later that night!
