For as long as I can remember, I really have hated tacky plastic and paper table coverings. The plastic ones are just super yucky and the paper ones tear easily and just look crappy! Although we don't have a tremendous budget for our wedding, I just can't make myself buy cheap table coverings.
I thought about renting table linens, but I did some research and discovered that it costs about $8 to rent a plain white tablecloth. It turns out that you can purchase a six pack of plain white table linens form Sam's or Costco for about $50. So, it really doesn't make sense to rent them. It also doesn't make sense to buy a three dozen white tablecloths. What would I do with them after the wedding?
After some brainstorming, I think I have found my solution. I have decided to make an assortment of tablecloths. They will bring color to the otherwise drab venue and it will eliminate the need for ornate decorations. I wonder if any of my wedding guests would like to assist with this project....hmmmm....who sews? Email me if you'd like to help!
