Since we were checking a suitcase, we figured it would be good if Matt went ahead. I was a little surprised when I went to get on the shuttle and Matt was still waiting to go to the airport. It didn't save anytime.  Oh well, we got to ride the shuttle together.

When I booked our flight in February, our scheduled departure from Seattle was 8:26 PM. However, the actual departure time for our flight was now 8:15.  After we checked the bag, the next stop was security. Fortunately, we got through without much trouble and had plenty of time to get some dinner.

Just past security screening area, we entered the central terminal.  They have a nice food selection at SeaTac, but we had no idea what to get.  We ended up ordering from Pallino Pastaria. Matt's pepperoni pizza wasn't very good and my caprese sandwich just okay. While we were eating, we talked to another traveler - a teacher from Canada. She was very nice and seemed genuinely interested in our journey. I hope she got home safely.

Before we got on the flight, I called home and talked to Price.  Then, I started looking online for a hotel room. We were scheduled to land in Alaska at 10:45. We'd be exhausted by the time we got to the hotel.  I didn't want to have to check my room to see if it was clean or inspect for bed bugs.  I just wanted to relax and get a good nights sleep.  I found a room with a King size bed at the Sheraton. Even at half price it was super expensive, but we decided to splurge.

While we were waiting to board the flight, we noticed a bunch of children. One man was traveling with five of his own! It was so loud in the terminal. Crying, yelling, kids running every where. As I boarded the flight, I said something to the stewardess and she told me there were 27 children! Eeek!

Fortunately, our Jet Blue flight had entertainment centers at each seat. What a great way to pass the time AND to block out the sound of children! Nice work Jet Blue! I wish all our flights were this comfortable!

Alaska here we come!
