A few weeks ago, I asked Matt to take off three consecutive days.  It was the only way that we'd be able to get North Dakota. However, we weren't sure the weather would cooperate. Our back up plan was to go to Vermont. First order of business for the day - figure out a game plan. Fortunately, the weather for Minnesota and North Dakota looked promising! Awesome!

While I was cleaning the car, I called Merriah to let her know that we'd be coming her way. She told me about one of the local guys that was injured over the weekend.  Merriah was really upset and I assured he that he'd be okay eventually. I gathered up the trash and wiped down the surfaces. The less dust and pollen in the car, the less likely I'd have a sneeze attack  When we were finished talking, I vacuumed the car and with Price's help I loaded the mattress into the back.

When I am getting ready for a big trip, I try to make sure the laundry is done. Unfortunately, our dryer started screeching a few weeks ago.The sound was driving us crazy. Fortunately, the dryer was still under the extended warranty and a repair man was scheduled to come on the 24th. In the meantime, we'd just have to suck it up.

I put the sheets in the dryer and Price and I headed out to the chiropractor. I thought it would be good to get an adjustment before we left for our trip. Our chiropractor, Dr. Wild, had just returned from South Carolina where his two kids went skydiving! They both loved it.

Shortly thereafter, we were back to the house. I finished making the bed in the van and proceeded to start loading our stuff. Matt came home for lunch and we talked about our plan for the rest of the day. He'd try to come home early so we could leave the house no later than five.

Odometer ReadingI spent the afternoon packing our clothes and supplies. Once I had everything in the van, I straightened up the the house.  That's when I discovered we were nearly out of cat food! Oh no!

After I cleaned the cat boxes and finished the dishes, I got a quick shower. Matt was home when I got out and I made a mad dash for the grocery store.  In addition to the cat food, I also had to grab some medicine for Matt because he was having tummy trouble. I asked him if he wanted to cancel the trip, but he assured me that he'd be okay.

We left the house at 5:10. With the rush hour traffic on Nuckols Road, we didn't hit 295 until 5:23! I asked Price to take a picture of my odometer - 233,712.

About 30 miles later, I realized I forgot Cathy Baites. Grrrrrr!
