Skydive Pepperell LogoYou know what I loved about this trip?  The drop zones were so close together that we could jump two in the same day without rushing!  The drive from Skydive New England to Skydive Pepperell was less than 90 minutes. Awesome!  Everything went quickly at Pepperell.  We completed our waivers, got a drop zone briefing, and manifested to jump the Otter.

Pepperell is also located on a skydiving only airport. Sweet!  No extra air traffic! One thing that was unique about Pepperell -  they put the tandems out at 10K. This was the first time we encountered this practice. After the tandems were gone, the pilot continued to climb to 13.5K with the fun jumpers. Our jump was (wait for it) AWESOME!

When I landed, Matt told me that he had caught up with the tandems when he was under canopy. Eeek!  We ended up doing a second jump that day and he deployed a little higher so that wouldn't happen again.

The locals were friendly and with the exception of the cost of the jump ticket  ($3.00 more than home) we thought Skydive Pepperell great! I hope we are able to come back again some day!

Skydive Pepperell

From my log book:

7-2-11 - Jump 450 - Pepperell Massachusetts - Otter - Spectre 190 - 2 way sit - 2 toe docks on Matt

After we packed, there was time for a second jump. The weather was gorgeous and there were open slots on the Otter!  Why not??? I only got one toe dock on the second jump, but it was a great day to be in Massachusetts!
