Trying to learn to skydive is challenging.  When you add in two kids and a husband that is busy doing his own stuff, it adds another layer of difficulty.  I didn't have the luxury of hanging out a the drop zone all weekend.  There were weekends that I couldn't go because the kids activities came first.  Just because the sun is shining, it doesn't mean that I can drop everything and run over the the dz.

When you are in the AFF program, you are required to skydive once every 30 days.  If you don't make it to the drop zone until day 35, you have to do a recurrency jump.  Facing a bunch of year end school activities, I decided to wait until school was out for the summer before I tried to finish my license.

Since I was having problems with my landings, I talked to Nick to see if there were any classes.  He recommended Scott Miller's canopy control course.  Scott was running his class at Skydive DeLand.  I got in touch with Scott and enrolled in his June 21-22 class.  Once the kids were out of school, I'd head back down to Florida.  I'd spend a couple of days at Z-hills, take the course at DeLand, and then go back to Z-Hills to finish my license.  Sounds like a plan!
