My internal clock woke me up early on Sunday which was nice because we couldn't afford to sleep in.  At minimum, we were 11 hours from home.  That didn't include stopping for gas and food.  While I was in the shower, Matt continued to sleep.  He can sleep through anything!  Once I had my stuff together, I woke him up.  He had a quick shower, we grabbed breakfast from the hotel and got on the road.

When we set out on a road trip, I normally do most of the driving.  I was trying really hard to make it to 2,000 miles before I asked Matt to drive.  He kept offering, but I kept insisting that I would keep driving.  My body was very tired.  My right thigh was starting to hurt and my back was killing me.  When we stopped for gas in Ohio, I caved.  I managed to drive 1,857 miles before I asked him to take a turn behind the wheel.  We were still 500 miles from home.

Matt drove almost 300 miles before I took over.  We managed to make it back to our house before midnight.  We had been gone from home 4 days and 4 hours and traveled almost 2,400 miles.  Six skydives in six states - the cost for our trip including 4 hotel rooms, gas, meals, skydives, 5 souvenir T-shirts, and 5 state spoons - just under a $1,000.  Not bad!
