I couldn't possibly tell you everything that has happened on our amazing honeymoon adventure.  I will try to just give you a few highlights.  In Matt's last post, he said that we were staying in to rest on Wednesday.  Well...truth be told...I had a horrible case of food poisoning.  I didn't get far from our bathroom.  I was completely miserable.

On Thursday, I could barely eat a thing, but we went back to the Valley.  We spent all this money for a honeymoon...it was hard to stay in the room two consecutive days.  We decided to take it easy.  We drove to Yosemite Lodge, parked and then headed to Yosemite Falls.  Basically, a 20 minute walk.  I couldn't get through it without a couple of trips to the bathroom.  I broke down and took some medicine to curtail my problem.

After a few bites of lunch, we took a second short hike to the base of El Cap.  On the way, I had a meltdown.  I was hungry, but couldn't eat.  I was feeling dizzy and I was being attacked by mosquitoes.  Operating on about 600 calories for the day, little sleep, etc.  I almost had a tantrum.  With Matt's encouragement, I kept moving and we made it to the base.  Well worth the effort!

Friday's adventure included a second trip to Glacier Point.  I was feeling a little better.  I managed to eat almost 1/2 of my breakfast.  We hiked up to Sentinel Dome.  I kept struggling with dizziness.  It's very frustrating because it feels like there is not enough air here.  I just don't understand how I can be surrounded by trees and there still isn't enough O2.  GRRRRRRRRRRR....I was worried about going all the way up because I thought I might slip and fall.  I'm VERY clumsy.  I took my time and made it to the top.  It was sooooooooooooo windy up there, but the view was amazing!  We hiked back down to Glacier Point and headed over to Mariposa Grove, but it was closed due to lack of parking.   We decided to have an early dinner instead of trying to find another activity in the Valley.

Are you tired yet?

We are almost caught up.  Today...Saturday...we started our day with a trip to the Ahwahnee hotel.  We wanted to check it out.  Our plan for the day was to go to Mirror Lake and Bridalveil Falls.  These plans got ditched.  The absolutely wonderful hotel desk clerk (Mikah) gave us some suggestions for the day.  He recommended that we drive toward Tuolumne Meadows and then on to Lee Vining to Mono Lake.  Let me just say this...check out the pictures!  On the way there, we saw a brown bear and on the way home we saw a black bear.  In between, we saw so many amazing things that I can't list them!  It's very late now....headed to bed.
