Before we got to the restuarant, Tina called to find out if we wanted indoor or outdoor seating. Outside!  It was such a beautiful day. It was just after 7:30 when we arrived at JL Beers. We ordered two burgers and fries to share. Matt wasn't certain how his stomach would react.

Tina's mom showed up and joined us for dinner. I saw this as an opportunity to dig around for Tina stories. I can't remember my exact question, but I don't think I ever got an answer!  Either way, it was a nice visit and I am thankful that Tina was able to jump with us and share a meal before we got on the road.

The sun was going down and It was getting chilly.  We said our goodbyes and went to the car to discuss our options.

When I planned the trip, I had contacted a small Minnesota drop zone located not far from the South Dakota border - Skydive Adventures. According to the email I received, they could put us out over South Dakota. While we were at Skydive Fargo, Matt talked to Fish about our trip. Fish knew of Skydive Adventures and said that we'd probably be landing at the South Dakota welcome center along the border.

After a short debate, we decided to drive toward Luverne, Minnesota which would also put us closer to Nebraska if we decided to stick around until Saturday morning. Before we left the parking lot, I called the number for Skydive Adventures and left a message for Matt at 8:48.  I told him that we were headed his way and hoped that he'd have a pilot for the morning and asked him to call me back when he had a chance.
