On Friday, I traded a few texts with a friend. She said she'd be at VSC on Saturday, but she wasn't sure what time she'd be getting there. This morning, I sent a text to firm up the time.

Since Matt and Price were going Christmas shopping, my plan was to hit the DZ early and do a few jumps. I wanted to be back home in time to make dinner (4:00 PM?). While I was loading the car, Chad sent a text to let me know he was at Orange. It was after 10 and still no word from my VSC friend. So, I decided to go to Orange.

When I got to Orange, Chad was doing 4 way. I wasn't particularly interested in going to full altitude. It was a little chilly! I figured I do a couple of low passes - just inching myself closer to 1,000.

There was plenty of time to talk to everyone because the plane kept shutting down. Even though I wasn't jumping with Chad, I invited him over to dinner so we could play cards with him.

On my first jump of the day, I got this cool shot of Monica. Look at that beautiful blue sky.

One of the newer jumpers was getting ready to do his 200th and asked me to come along with him. How could I resist a 00 jump? After a short conversation, he decided he wanted to do a a four way. With the exception of our exit, the jump was very successful and I think he was happy.

Here are some screen shots - check out Jonathan's smile!

When I landed, there wasn't enough time to pack my rig. After we watched the video, I grabbed my gear and put it in the car.

I managed to home in time to put together some homemade mac & cheese and Matt's favorite meatloaf. Yummy! It was a great day with friends and family!
