When I woke up to use the bathroom, it was only 3:00 AM. I forced myself to go back to bed. It's so hard to get adjusted to a new time zone. It took a while, but I managed to fall back to sleep.

At 5:00 AM, I heard a sound, "Beep...beep...beep...beep," and then it stopped. So, maybe the walls are a little thin after all. Then, it started again, "Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep." Then, it stopped. It wasn't an alarm clock. It was a construction truck backing up! Ugh!

Since there was no way for me to go back to sleep, I got a shower and started getting our things ready to go. Matt got ready too and we ended up leaving the hotel ahead of schedule. It was 5:51 AM when we checked out. We set a course for the drop zone. Pacific Skydiving Center was only 35.5 miles away, but the drive would take over 50 minutes.

As we got closer to the DZ, I texted Arvel to ask if there was a place nearby to grab a bite to eat. We ended up at McDonald's and ordered some Cinnamelts. Nearly 500 empty calories, but SO delicious! It wasn't even 7:30 when we arrived at the DZ.
